More than $1.3 million has been donated back to community projects from the Air Show event. The Oregon International Air Show gladly accepts input from community groups for many different projects and encourages active participation from service clubs, non-profits, businesses and community. The Air Show has supported over six hundred different projects in Washington County and throughout Oregon over its lifetime.

The Air Show supports local businesses, hotels, restaurants, golf courses, and other special events. All performers and Air Show guests are placed in Washington County hotels and visit many of our local restaurants, golf courses and health clubs during their week stay with us. Special activities for the Air Show performers and guests are planned in our own community.

Hillsboro, Oregon businesses and non-profit organizations are encouraged to participate at the event. The Air Show supports local businesses.

Special Events Involving Community and Kids:
Performers arrive early to spend time with our community and make special appearances to community organizations and non-profits such as the Boys and Girls Club, Athletic Clubs, Service Clubs, Hospitals and local schools.

Kids rate high with the Air Show in more ways than one.

  • Margaret Teufel Day recognizes “special kids” on Comcast Sunday of the Air Show weekend. Special needs kids and adults are invited as guests of the Air Show. Performers take time with these guests to sign autographs and share stories.
  • Make-a-Wish kids are invited to enjoy the Friday practice show at the Hillsboro Airport.

We bring family and friends together to salute aviation and honor those who honor our freedom. Thank you for doing your part each year to support this special weekend and for making the sacrifices necessary to ensure the Air Show’s great success in benefiting the community
